Getting caught up on my reading this weekend (you should see the stack of magazines piled up!) and came across these two great ideas!

1. nearly waterless laundry for commercial cleaners (hospitals, nursing homes, hotels etc…) from Xeros in the UK uses nylon beads to clean
2. wind turbine from FloDesign Wind Turbine that looks like an airplane engine. it’s supposed to be 3 times more efficient than the traditional three-bladed windmills.
